Stop eating when I’ve stopped enjoying!

A very dark pic of my entree

Yesterday was the worst day yet re: my cold. But you’re sick of hearing about that. (Pun intended!) Instead, I’ll tell you about something that happened when Kelly and I had dinner at Roy’s. We both had to-die-for “Butterfish” (don’t know don’t care) and once we’d stopped eating, the waiter came to our table and asked, “Have you finished enjoying your meal?”

I replied “I stopped enjoying it about 10 minutes ago, but I kept eating.”

Kidding! The food was SO fabulous and the portion on the minimalist side – perfect since we’d pre-ordered a chocolate souffle for dessert -  and I was NOT over-stuffed when I’d finished. But I thought about the many times when I DON’T stop when I’ve finished enjoying my food! New 2013 resolution: stop eating when I’ve stopped enjoying!

My stats for January 5, 2013:
2828 steps taken
2 floors climbed
1.2 miles traveled
1601 calories burned
1530 calories eaten
FYM Day ?? Lordy. I’ll get caught up soon.

  • That is a great resolution. I have heard that the phrase in Japan that mothers ask their children, is not “Are you full”, but “Are you still hungry”. There is a difference!
